“KOKUO” is sloppy Japanese for “great treasure”. It is also a particular ‘inner force’ aikido exercise involving breath and centering, the ideas of which will underlie the set.

Until 1997, Bill Orcutt made explosive, full-body-orgasm noise-rock in Harry Pussy and, 20 years later, re-emerged as an acoustic, scissor-fingered blues shredder. This duet with Bay Area drum splatterer Jacob Felix Heule splits the difference between the two eras: It's an explosive, high-energy collaboration that's as close to Delta Blues as Lightning Bolt.
